Preserving the Past: Help Restore the Station Master’s House

Pennyfarthing Homes is proud to support the restoration of the Station Master’s House in New Milton — the very first building in the town’s history. We’ve donated £2,500 to kickstart this exciting community project, working alongside the Friends of New Milton Station to transform the historic building into a vibrant neighbourhood hub.

But to bring this vision to life, the project needs your support. With a funding goal of £40,000, every contribution counts.

Why It Matters

Built in 1886, the Station Master’s House has stood at the heart of New Milton for over a century. From 1888 until 2007 it was home to generations of Station Masters. Today, though empty and in need of care, it still retains its original character — and with your help, it can once again become a centre for community and heritage.

The restoration will:

  • Protect an important piece of New Milton’s history

  • Provide a welcoming community space

  • Honour the town’s railway heritage

Join the Journey: Name Your Station

By donating, you can become part of the No. 1 New Milton map, a unique artwork that will be displayed inside the restored Station Master’s House (expected completion in 2027).

  • £25+ donation → Your Local Station on the map

  • £100+ donation → A Main Station

  • £1,000+ donation → A Grand Station

Before the artwork is finalised, you’ll be contacted to confirm your chosen station name — it could be after yourself, a loved one, or even a pet.

This is your chance to leave a lasting mark on New Milton’s history.
